Court declines to send Constitution Party hopefuls to voters in South Dakota

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — A federal judge has denied a request to order the Secretary of State to put two Constitution Party candidates on the November ballot.

U.S. District Judge Karen Schreier on Monday denied an injunction from Libertarian Party chairman Ken Santema and Lori Stacey of the Constitution Party.

The parties were attempting to get U.S. Senate candidate Kurt Evans and state House hopeful Wayne Schmidt on the general election ballot.
