ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Biology Department and some students at Northern State University will be putting on an open house at one of the two Monarch Waystations south of Melgaard Road at the Kuhnert Arboretum in Aberdeen on Thursday night, Sept. 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
NSU Biology Professor Jodi Ramsay, provides some of the details.
The amount of the grant that the biology department at NSU received was $5,000. Professor Ramsay talks about what the money from this grant is being used for.
Professor Ramsay describes what kind of plants people can expect to see at the open house.
Professor Ramsay stated that the gardens are a precursor to what they’re hoping to do in a new Regional Science Education Center which is scheduled to open in 2019.
Professor Ramsay is hoping that people who attend the open house will gain some knowledge about what they’re trying to do.
