PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – A number of legislators met with Governor Dennis Daugaard, and got a glimpse of what to expect with next year’s budget.
State revenues have been below projections for several months, threatening red ink for the next session of the legislature.
Senator Ryan Maher of Isabel says it was no surprise.
Maher says health care providers that get state funding will be first in line for any increase.
The Governor will deliver his budget proposal to the legislature on Dec. 5.
