HARRISBURG, SD (NSUWolves.com) – NSU signee, Peyton Ellingson was honored last Saturday at the annual South Dakota Volleyball Banquet, as the 2017 Miss Volleyball for Class ‘B’. Miss Volleyball is presented annually by the SD Volleyball Coaches Association to an outstanding senior from each of the state’s three high school volleyball classes. In addition to being a senior, players must also be a first team All-State selection, and have been nominated by their head coach in order to qualify.
Ellingson will join the Wolves after starting four years at Warner High School. In her senior season, Ellingson nabbed 380 kills, 77 blocks, 78 digs, and 17 service aces. The Monarchs reached the Class B title match in 2017, but ultimately fell to Northwestern. Ellingson notched 16 kills in the match. Over her four year career, she has record 1,314 kills, 282 blocks, and 73 aces. She is the 4th NSU signee to earn the Miss Volleyball title (Rodgers, Rozell, and Reiff). She played in the South Dakota All-Star game, alongside fellow NSU signee Olivia Rud out of Madison.
