NDSU won their 6th title in seven seasons by beating the defending national champs of James Madison SAT, 17-13. The Bison tied GA Southern for the most FCS titles w/ the win and avenged a loss to the Dukes in last year’s semifinal round. NDSU held a slim lead in yards gained – 264-241 – but the team won the TO battle, three takeaways to one. Three different Bison ran for over 50y, including QB Easton Stick who threw for 130y and a score. Bruce Anderson ran in the other TD and had 63y on 18c. Darrius Shepherd piled up 6r & 74y w/ a score. The defense was led by Warner’s own Derrek Tuszka who had a team-high six tackles & two sacks. Jarrod Tuszka tacked on a pair of tackles as well.
