YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Legislative democrats are backing a bill that would change the way political districts are determined in South Dakota. House Minority Leader Spencer Hawley of Brookings says they want to move to a non-partisan commission to redraw the boundaries.
Hawley says other states are looking at the same type of change.
Hawley says districts should be as equal as possible.
Legislators are back for another four-day week. The main run of the session wraps up on March 9.
