YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Kristie Fiegen, currently the Chair of the three-member South Dakota Public Utilities Commission, is running for another six year term.
Fiegen was appointed to the commission in 2011 by Governor Dennis Daugaard, then was elected to her first full term in 2012.
Fiegen says it’s a very technical related job.
The PUC deals with electric and gas utilities, and grain warehouses. Fiegen says many of those issues are complex.
Fiegen, a former legislator, says they really don’t worry about the politics of the issues before them.
Fiegen was at the Yankton Lincoln Day dinner.
