Hotshots’ Bats Scorch Sasquatch

Spearfish Sasquatch

Hub City Hotshots  19-10

The Hotshots’ offense started a gradual decline yesterday, but still picked up the win in a 19-10 final against Spearfish.  Fresh off a week w/ two 20-plus run games, the Hub City guys scored just 19R in what ended up as a comeback win over the Sasquatch.  The Hotshots scored 5R in the B-1st to go up by four, but Spearfish scored in innings 3-5 to take a 9-5 advantage.  The Hub City came right back by scoring at least 4x in each of the next three frames to win comfortably.  Spearfish out-hit the Aberdeen crew, 18-17, and each squad drew 5BB.  Five different HC guys scored at least 3x, led by the 4R of Derek Marshall, who went 3/3, walked 3x and drove in two.  NDSU pitcher Hunter Koep got it done at the dish w/ 2HR’s (including one grand slam), 3R, and 8RBI; and Anthony Guzman went yard and plated a pair.  Jordan Rodriguez scratched out the win, tossing 4.1inn and allowing 2R on 7H w/ 1K & 1BB.
