Hotshots Bounce Back with Strong Home Win Over Pierre

The Hotshots bounced back from a rough Monday in Pierre w/ a strong showing at Fossum Field against the Trappers, nearly getting a shut-out in an 8-2 win.  The Hub City squad out-hit the visiting team, 12-7, and had half as many errors as Pierre, 4-2.  NSU’s Grant Farmer moved to 1-1 on the season by allowing just a pair of 9th inning runs on 5H w/ 6K & 1BB.  Farmer tossed 8inn in his 5th start of the year.  Derek Marshall came on to record the final three outs in his 1st time on the mound this season.  Marshall was also productive at the plate, going 1/3 w/ a walk and 2R scored.  Willie Lajoie was 2/5 w/ a double, a run, and 3RBI; and Daniel Rodriguez finished w/ a 2/4 day that included two trips home.
