TUTHILL, S.D. (Press Release) – A Martin, S.D. woman has been identified as the person who died last Tuesday afternoon in a one-vehicle rollover north of Tuthill.
A 2007 Chevrolet Malibu was northbound on 237th Avenue, traveling around a curve when it left the roadway. The vehicle entered the east ditch, tipped and rolled.
Leota Frandsen, 83, was the driver and only occupant. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
