Co-sponsored 3 job fairs with organizations in the business and professional communities whose membership includes substantial participation by women and minorities. The stations were represented by personnel who have substantial responsibility in making hiring decisions. |
2009 South Dakota Career Center Job Fair, Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Hosted at the Aberdeen Civic Arena, Program Director attended. 2009 South Dakota Career Center Job Fair, Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Hosted at the Aberdeen Civic Arena. Program Director and Sports Director attended.
Job Fair at the State Department of Labor Office in conjunction with Northern State University, Monday, July 27th. Program Director and Sports Director attended. |

Established training programs designed to enable sales personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions. |
Management and Sales staff participated in a two days sales training in Omaha, NE in January 23-25, 2009 with Terry Shockley conducting the two day event. Individual break-out sessions were held for managers, sales managers and sales staffs. |

Participated in 4 events sponsored by educational institutions relating to career opportunities in broadcasting.
Sponsored one event in the community designed to inform and educate the public as to employment opportunities in broadcasting. |
Career Days at Warner School Systems, Warner, SD. KNBZ-FM announcer presented at this event. Career Days at OM Tiffany, Aberdeen, SD. KNBZ-FM announcer presented at this event. Stations participated in Job Shadow day with On-Air Staff. A high school student from Seneca, SD, that attends Faulkton High School, job shadowed our News Department. Stations participated in Job Shadow day with On-Air Staff. A high school student from Faulkton, SD, that attends Faulkton High School, job shadowed our morning announcer on KSDN-FM.
Participated in Junior Achievement Event with the Roncalli School System, Aberdeen, SD. Employment booths were set-up for each business to better educate the public about each business and service provided. |
