Meet the DJ - Les Cummings

Here it is. The "Official Unauthorized Autobiography of Les Cummings vol 1." is as follows

BIO I was born in the "Age of Rock 'n' Roll" one of the recognized "Ages of Man" and the age we are in now (which makes me feel younger already). I grew up with the Beatles and the greater "British Invasion" of rock and roll and continued to appreciate the morphing into the heavier rock of Led Zeppelin and the myriad of other influential shapers and changers that have continued  to push the envelope of the rock & roll genre.

I attended schools here in Aberdeen including Lincoln, Henry Neill (now a great place to get an Arby's Ruben), Howard Hedger (now a good place to check into  assisted living arrangements), Simmons Jr High (Hi Cal Engel) and Aberdeen Central High School (now a place that organizes activities for those of us who are still about to rock in a recreational as opposed to an educational sense). I attended college here at NSU and began my radio career at KASD FM on campus where I was exposed to more eclectic musical influences.  

My older brother was a major influence on my tastes in rock and roll but I can't tell you who my favorites are as I have too many favorites to list here! There's an old conundrum "Is it life that imitates art or art that imitates life?" The answer is yes! Either way they compliment each other. A good movie can be better with the right soundtrack and a lousey movie can seem like it's good with a great soundtrack. I'm not likely to hang up my headphones till I don't like the movie because of the soundtrack.
